Category: Laser Mirrors

Narrowband Maximum Reflecting Coating (MAX R) Typically used with lasers, Max R coatings provide nearly complete reflection over a specific spectral range, absorbing negligible incident energy. These high-purity coatings are very durable--designed to meet all standard MIL requirements. The trade-offs for high reflectivity (compared to metal reflectors) are: increased polarization sensitivity and increased cost.

Robert D. ★★★★★

Installed this in my 532nm laser setup and the difference in beam quality was immediate. The narrowband coating handles the power without any noticeable heat buildup.

Julian ★★★★★

Swapped this in for a cheap mirror in my HeNe setup and the difference was obvious right away — the beam stays tight with almost no scatter. Borofloat 33 substrate feels solid and the coating hasn't degraded after a few months of regular use.

Kevin ★★★★★

I've been using this mirror to steer a 633 nm HeNe beam and the reflection is so clean I forgot there was a mirror in the path. The coating absorbs essentially nothing, so even after an hour of alignment the optic is still cool to the touch.
